My fellow empaths. Do not sleep on your strength. Do not underestimate your strength like others do. We are STRONGER than anyone else. Rise up, unite. Your energy comes from depths most cannot even fathom. Being that to the forefront. Get rid of the fear. Use it now.
All day today, my empath self completely took over. With all the things happening, especially with the attack in Syria, I have been feeling the weight of the world. Praying for everyone suffering, crying when no one could see me, coming home and sitting in a catatonic state just trying not to slip further into depression.
Some days are like this. I don’t have the answers to my questions. All I can do is love. Love, even in the condition I’m in at the moment. Hug my family a little tighter. Appreciate those around me, especially those who are also empaths whose hearts are breaking in unison with mine.
Naysayers will say that it doesnt matter, but I’m here to tell you, keep your hearts strong. Love is the most powerful energy of all. It is the most powerful strength we humans have. That energy will effect the rest of the world. It is all a ripple effect.
Believe me, I know it feels useless, and it’s so easy to feel helpless in these times. But collectively, our energies of love, no matter what condition we are in, makes its way around. We are all connected. So keep loving, everyone, no matter what condition you find yourself in.
Feeling stagnant? Feeling like your brain has been running on autopilot for a while? Time to wake it up! Do something creative, even if you’ve never done anything creative in your life. Creativity, and the act of creating, unlocks powerful levels in mind, body, heart, and spirit. It is most definitely a part of self care, self development, and self awareness. It creates a positive ripple effect within you that can ripple out toward others. Being creative can be healing.
Not sure how to be creative? Take a painting class, write a poem, watch some Bob Ross and experiment on your own, cut up pictures from magazines and put them back together in your own way and create a collage. Write a story. Look up a DIY project (Pinterest!), learn how to make jewelry or how to work with wood. Take your camera somewhere and start taking beautiful pictures. Learn how to play an instrument. Anything you’ve ever thought might be fun to try one day, try it now. Your inner child will thank you.
I will be creating some painting vids soon at The Drawlers channel so stay tuned!
Sunday Funday. In the not so far off past, I would dread The work week so badly that I wouldn’t even enjoy my Sundays. All of Sunday from the minute in wake up to the minutes I’d toss and turn trying to get in a decent night’s sleep before the alarm rang, I would be dreading what was the inevitable. Why? Honestly, ritual. Bad habits. Obsessive, negative thinking. Guess what? The weekend seems longer when you actually don’t dread or think about the day job. Monday will still be Monday whether you spend the day before actually savoring the Sunday, or wasting away the hours of thinking about Monday. Hope you all aren’t this bad, but for those of you who are, it’s definitely something I urge you to consider.
Sometimes the best thing you can do for your mental health is just stop and rest. To try to force anything during that time causes more breaks in the defenses. Not my best day but feeling better now. Tomorrow will be better. Time to relax, reset, and pray clearly with my heart while my mind sorts itself out. Be thankful for those who love you enough to allow you to do this and support you during this time.
