A little late, but hey better late than never, right? Here are a few pics from this past weekend’s event. Lots of mini art prints (mounted, numbered and signed) available for $10 shipped in the US. If you’re in a different country and want one, contact me and I’ll find out how much shipping is. Read more at the Heavenly Skull blog.

Heavenly Skull at the Museum of Ventura County
Had a great time in Ventura today vending at the Museum of Ventura County. The weather was beautiful and had yummy Thai food from Rice on Main St. Didn’t make a lot of sales but made a lot of great contacts. The artists and creatives in the 805 are awesome! Very glad I ventured out today. I’ll be listing a lot of new items on etsy this week. For more info on my shop, check out www.heavenlyskull.com!
Artist Spotlight: Luis Tinoco
I have the distinct pleasure of being in an art show with artist Luis Tinoco. The show is at Muddy Waters Coffee House in Santa Barbara, CA. If you’re in the area, go check it out! It will be up until November 30. The first time I found Luis’ art online it was this piece:
I was an instant fan! Here’s another one of my favorites:
Mr. Tinoco has been drawing since he was a kid, but got disillusioned with the lack of knowledge he was getting from college. He decided to take a short break and has since been mostly self taught. His work ranges from digital to traditional, but he prefers the traditional “because it’s more tangible.”
Currently, Luis is working on a series of portraits, mainly in oils. “The human face has always been a great fascination of mine. I’m working on a series right now in between creating work for shows, consisting of only females and comprised of influences from Casey Baugh, Shawn Barber, Aaron Nagle, David Kassan, Sean Cheetham and Tim Okamura.”
Here’s an example of a more recent oil portrait:
Beautiful! And here’s his piece from the Noches de Muertos: LOTERIA show at Muddy Waters in SB before it got framed:

Preparing for art show and LEGO coaching
It’s been super busy since school started. Rocky and I have a pretty good rhythm down and are used to it being just the two of us during the day. CJ started his FLL LEGO Robotics league. Did I mention Carlos and I are coaching? It’s REALLY intense. It’s a lot more involved than the Jr FLL was. In any case, it’s really great to see him excel in this!
I’ve also got an art show coming up where both Carlos and I will have pieces up, and I will be vending as well. More info to come!
